I looked at my cell phone and pressed the ignore button. I had already played myself by believing Domiano’s outlandish lies for weeks now. I wasn’t going to allow him to come back over now that he’d pacified his girlfriend.

She used to be the chick on the side and now he was trying to give me the position. Hell no! I was better than that and I deserved better than that. He could keep that bullshit.

I turned my phone off when I saw that he was now texting me. I wished I hadn’t opened that door, both literally and figuratively, but I was going to make sure that it stayed locked this time. I didn’t care how much I loved him, I wasn’t going to be with a man that didn’t love and respect me enough to commit to me and me only.
